Accommodation

Airbnb

The areas around the venue are nice and safe. If you want to stay as close as possible to the venue, you might find nice airbnb-options closer than any hotel. You can search on airbnb using the address of the venue as a starting point:

Hotels

There are plenty of hotels close to our venue, Markus Menighetshus, Schwensens gate 15.

For instance hotels in walking distance to the venue:

Thon Hotel Munch (Budget hotel)

Thon Hotel Europa (City hotel)

Smarthotel Oslo (Budget hotel)

Radisson Blu Scandinavia

Scandic Holberg Hotel

Cochs Pensjonat

Scandic Vulkan

Walking distance between the hotels above and the venue is 10 – 15 minutes.

Anker Hostel (Budget hostel) and nextdoor Anker Hotel

Walking distance between Anker Hostel/Anker Hotel and the venue is approx. 20 minutes. Please note that the hostel is in a not so charming area, but if that is not important to you, it could be a good choice as it is very close to the city center.

In this thread you get an idea of where the attendees are staying while in Oslo: www.bookcrossing.com/forum/22/531397

SlottetDon’t expect to get a room in this building, although it has 173 rooms just for one family. As far as we know the royal family has not fold on the Airbnb trend yet:-)

The Royal Palace in Oslo was built in the first half of the 19th century as the Norwegian residence of the French-born King Charles III of Norway, who reigned as king of Norway and Sweden. The palace is the official residence of the present Norwegian monarch. The crown prince resides at Skaugum in Asker west of Oslo.
